Congratulations! Writing a manuscript is a huge accomplishment. You are on your way to having a book. If you are looking to self-publish you will need to find an illustrator willing to work for hire. I do not take work on self-published projects at this time. 

If you are looking to traditionally publish, you do not need illustrations to submit your manuscript. Publishers often find illustrators that fit your manuscript best, however you can provide your publisher a short-list of illustrators you hope to illustrate your book, and they will take care of the rest.  

If you already have a publisher, you can contact my agent Lori Kilkelly at lori@lkliterary.com and start a dialogue about a potential collaboration!

I am currently not available to read your manuscript/dummy, as I am already very involved with my own critique group, on top of working on my own stories. I suggest forming your own critique group through SCBWI or any creative classes you take and sharing your work with a group of people you trust to give you honest and constructive feedback!

I highly recommend doing these things : 

• Read! A lot! Find stories you like and study what you like about them.

• Write and draw! A lot! Your brain and hands will find their own voice through practice.

• Join your local SCBWI chapter. You can learn a lot from professionals and potentially find critique group mates. 

• Be part of a critique group. It can be tiny! It might change! Find your trusted mates that you can share your work with and gain constructive feedback. It is a very vulnerable way to grow. 

• Find your joy or drive! And remember, it is normal to find parts of this challenging!

You can find my books anywhere books are sold! If possible, you could support your local bookstore. Sometimes signed books are available at Green Bean Books. 

If you don’t have the means of purchasing, you can find my books at your local library! Sometimes you can request new books at your local library too.
